Salary range for position: $95,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience.

 

 

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for facilitating the initial project planning, coordinating the product development activities and managing the project during the verification through to product release. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in facilitating product development activities, working with a highly technical and manufacturing team and have high energy, passionate, creative and analytical mind to problem solve.

 

JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of related experience in the semiconductor/MEMS field or a hardware product company; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Facilitate project development by managing processes, project implementation, schedules and budgets during the initial project phase and manage the release of the product once developed
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of success.
  • Coordinate with and manage special build requests through interfacing with the operations team when needed
  • Able to work through constraints of budget, timelines, schedules, and scope while adhering to engineering processes and methodologies. Understands enterprise wide complexities of finance, planning, forecasting.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in product development in a project management role. Prefer experience in semiconductor, MEMS or hardware product development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with engineers, scientists, vendors and across multiple sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a group environment and report concisely and clearly.
  • Travel domestically could be required.

 

 Desired:

  • Experience with Atlassian suite including Jira and Confluence along with a working knowledge of other standard project management tools to aid in project reporting.
