POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) works cross functionally, both within the Fujifilm Dimatix (FDMX) organization and its Suppliers, to monitor and continuously improve performance of assigned key commodity areas & components by implementing process controls and developing quality assurance plans. The SQE tracks data, identifies improvement projects, and manages cross functional implementation to improve performance of key components and suppliers.
The SQE ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services. The SQE qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness. They monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur. The SQE develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met. They evaluate suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance and provide feedback in assessment of their operation.
They are responsible for developing and driving systemic programs to ensure defect free parts and or assemblies arrive at our dock at approved quality levels from our suppliers. They create an environment where our Suppliers identify problems, confirm root causes, and implement corrective actions before a product hits our factory floor. The SQE rewards proactive achievement ,set expectation levels that represent best in class performance and ensures the suppliers we have selected and the practices we have in place are the right practices to hit those performance levels identified. When required, they evaluate suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance capability, perform a gap analysis, and help validate appropriate actions have been identified for improvement.
The SQE directs and coordinates Supplier Quality programs and initiatives with the Supplier Quality Engineer Supervisor and Quality Manager.

Communication and Hazardous Waste training programs. Initial training is required upon hiring status and
every 3 years thereafter. Employees handling hazardous waste will insure that waste containers in their
work areas are properly labeled and dated. Employees will ensure that waste containers are closed after
transferring waste to them. Report any incidents involving hazardous waste to supervisor.
