This is a temporary position employed by Corestaff working on site at Fujifilm Dimatix.

This will be up to a 3-month paid internship, hourly rate range $25-$35/hour, commensurate with experience.

 

We seek an intern who is actively enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chem-, Bio- or Nano-Engineering, or a related field, at a four-year university. This intern will work with a cross-functional team that interacts across different areas of device fabrication to develop next generation products.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


As a MEMS Development Engineer Intern you will be responsible for creating device samples for evaluation, and then collecting and analyzing detailed data from materials characterization and metrology tools to develop novel processes applied to cutting-edge MEMS-based piezoelectric inkjet printheads. Your work will also require assisting in the documentation process, experimental design, and refinement of characterization procedures.  Additionally, you will be working in a clean room environment, requiring clean room protocol (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED: 

  • Level of Senior or above and in good standing at a four-year university enrolled as a full time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chem-, Bio- or Nano-Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiar with working principles and concepts of MEMS devices. Experience with MEMS a plus
  • Comfortable in a laboratory environment
  • Semiconductor process coursework, with some actual fabrication experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience with materials characterization, metrology and/or laboratory tools
  • Some familiarity with nano-materials, surface science, surface modification, self-assembled monolayers, and similar topical areas
  • Work experience, especially in a related field through co-op, internship, or projects
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, good problem solving skills, responsible, with a strong work ethic
  • Able to work in teams on various projects and efficiently communicate to others
  • Detail-oriented and able to clearly document the work done
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate results
