This will be up to a 3-month paid internship, hourly rate range $25-$35/hour, commensurate with experience.

 

FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, is the world's premier provider of piezoelectric ink jet print heads. Our products are designed to accurately dispense a wide range of fluid types in micro-amounts for demanding imaging and fabricating applications. 

We seek an intern who is actively enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Material Science, Manufacturing Engineering, MEMS, Physics, Semiconductors, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field., at a four-year university.
This intern will work with a cross functional team that interacts across different areas of wafer fabrication processing to improve yield and overall product performance.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As a Failure Analysis Engineer Intern you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing detailed data from materials characterization and semiconductor metrology tools to improve the manufacturing yield of cutting-edge MEMS-based piezoelectric inkjet printheads or other MEMS devices. Work will also require assisting in documentation process, experimental design and qualification of test equipment.  Additionally, you will be working in a clean room environment, requiring clean room gowning (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.).

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. REQUIRED: 

  • Level of Junior or above and in good standing at a four-year university enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Material Science, MEMS, Physics, Semiconductors, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with materials and MEMS characterization and metrology tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools like Minitab or JMP or other analysis tools would be a plus.
  • Working knowledge of programming and statistical analysis preferred.
  • Semiconductor or MEMS process coursework.
  • Work experience in related field through co-op, internship, or projects
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm
  • Good problem solving skills, acceptance of responsibility and good work ethic
  • Able to work in teams on various projects and efficiently communicate results to various teams.
  • Detail oriented and able to clearly document work done.
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate results.
